These watercolours all come from the artists studio, there is a variety of subject matter from landscapes , still lifes,figure studies and portraits. Shelton was an accomplished artist. Yet it seems he never exhibited his watercolours, although he did show his etchings. Most of his career was involved with teaching and being head Hornsey College of Art.
