Watercolours by Michael Frith

An Exhibition of Watercolours by the artist Michael Frith. With views of the Suffolk Coast , including the River Alde and Snape.Born 1951, Michael has had a long successful career as an illustrator having worked for the Sunday Times , Country Life and many others . In the 90’s he illustrated Craig Brown restaurant review in the Sunday Times and AA Gill’s column on celebrities with portraits. A life size portrait of Robert Maxwell, commissioned by the National Portrait Gallery, two were painted, one selected, now resides permanently in the cellar of the NPGin disgrace, the other makes a wall in a chicken shed near Michael’s home.These landscapes of Sufflok show Michael’s skill as a watercolourist,he has previously painted marines, gardens and Goodwood horse racing and held 3 successful exhibitions at the Canon Gallery when we were in Petworth.
