Description

Oil on board, signed and dated 58,  29ins x 25ins George Weissbort was born in Belgium, he moved to Britain when he was seven. He was a painter of portraits and Still Lifes and landscapes. While his portraits were typical of the styler of his adopted country, his Still Lifes have a Flemish look to them. This striking portrait of a seated young man has tremendous power.
