Sepia wash over pencil, signed and dated 1828  8"ins x 10 1/2 ins A talented painter who was in France with RP Bonington and a friend of TS Boys. So he was right in the middle of the British watercolour colony in France in the early years of the 19th Century. His work is close to Bonington's in execution, he however more interested in architecture , but used his skills as an artist in his architectural work. He continued o paint throughout his life. His work is sometimes confused with Bonington and Boys work.
