Description

watercolour, signed , 15 3/4ins x 20 1/4ins Chabas  was a French figurative painter, a pupil of Bouguereau and Robert-Fleury,who specialised in classical nudes which he exhibited at the Paris Salon where he achieved several high ranking medals and in the end the Legion D'honneur. His works are in the Museums of Mulhouse, Nantes and Paris and Tourcoing.
