Description

Watercolour, 6 1/4 ins x 8 1/2 ins. Painted in the late 1830's this watercolour has lovely colours and detail. The lady on the right is carrying a child on her back while one of the men holds a finely detailed net. In the distance one can see shipping on Morecombe bay. Cox painted frequently in the area , working in both oils and watercolours.
