Red Chalk drawing on wove paper. 12ins x 16ins. A wonderful drawing by the master of line and the watercolour wash. Flint could draw or paint in watercolours with amazing skill. He is also remembered for his ladies in taffeta dresses lounging , in the hot Spanish sun doing their laundry. These watercolours were reproduced and sold in large numbers.
This commercialisation of his work however did not affect the fact that he was a wonderful draughtsman and painter. His ability to lay a wash on paper is with out equal in the 20th Century.
